Flash Wireless (s) Device Eligibility
Service on the Sprint 4G LTE Network

Will my device work on Flash Wireless (s)? Here’s some information to help.

Most people transferring a device to Flash Wireless (s) fall into one of three categories. Determine which best describes you and then use the Flash Wireless Device Approval Tool to get started.

  1. You originally purchased your device and it is currently active (or was previously) on the Sprint Network.
    • Make sure you don't have any outstanding financial agreements on your account with Sprint. Example: Service Agreements, Installment Billing or Lease Agreements, or Early Termination Fees.
      • If you do, contact Sprint at 888-211-4727 and clear those up prior to trying to transfer your device.
      • What’s Next: Once cleared, wait 3 business days and try your device again using the Flash Wireless Device Approval Tool.
    • If your device is clear of all financial agreements, use the Flash Wireless Device Approval Tool and then proceed with your order.
  2. You originally purchased your device and it is active (or was previously) with a pre-paid carrier such as Boost or Virgin Mobile.
    • Check your device by using the Flash Wireless Device Approval Tool.
      • A device on these networks must have been active for a minimum amount of time with the pre-paid carrier to be transferred to Flash Wireless (or any other network).
      • If your device isn’t approved, it’s probably because it hasn't met the minimum activation timelines with the pre-paid carrier. Also, some pre-paid carriers require you to contact them to unlock the device.
    • What if there is an issue: Contact the pre-paid carrier to see how much time is left until your device can be transferred, or request the device be unlocked.
  3. You purchased or are purchasing your device from a third party.
    • Check your device using the Flash Wireless Device Approval Tool FIRST. Try to get the device’s ESN/MEID number before purchasing it, and use the Device Approval Tool.
    • Since the device is coming from a third party with an unknown history, use the Device Approval Tool to make sure there aren’t any issues before paying for the device.
      • Possible Issues: An outstanding financial obligation, reported lost or stolen, or associated with some type of fraudulent activity
    • What if there is any issue: The original Sprint account owner on that device would have to contact Sprint at 888-211-4727 to clear it up. Sprint will only release information to the original account holder. What if you’ve already purchased the device and it isn’t eligible? You should contact the seller and try to get a refund.

Please note: The following devices are not eligible for Flash Wireless (s): Devices with any type of financial commitment, WiMax devices, Blackberry devices, Palm devices, push to talk and legacy Nextel devices.
