Listed below are the steps required to complete the activation of your device.  The menu names may vary on your device.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Please ensure that voice, data, and text messaging are all working properly on your device.

Please note that there are additional steps are required for Picture Messaging and 4G WiMax capable devices.  

Some of the steps below will require your Lock Code and MISD number; these can be found in the activation email that you received from Flash Wireless.

Completing the Manual Programming steps below may delete saved information on your device. Make sure you back up any information you wish to keep (contacts, pictures, etc) before proceeding.  Flash Wireless customer care cannot assist with backing up your device. Manual Programming for Basic Phones

1.        Open the dialer

2.        Touch ##Lock Code# (The Lock Code is a 6 digit number emailed to you upon the activation of your handset)

3.        Touch Edit

4.        Enter your 10 digit phone number

Note, if the 10 digit phone number is displayed, please delete and re-enter the number. 

5.        Touch "OK"

6.        Clear all zeros and enter the MSID number (This can be found in the email you received upon activation

of your handset)

7.        Touch "OK"

8.        Touch "Done".  Your phone should reboot.  If it does not reboot, manually reboot your phone.

 

Manual Programming for smart phones

1.        Open the dialer

2.        Dial # # 72786 #

3.        Enter your Lock Code (The Lock Code is 6 digit number emailed to you upon the activation of your handset)

4.        Touch "OK".  Your phone should reboot.  If it does not reboot, manually reboot your phone.

 Note, the step above will automatically update your Profile, PRL, and check for updates on your device.  This may take 5-10 minutes to complete.

 

Once your device restarts 3G data, voice, and text messaging should be enabled. If your device supports picture messaging, you should follow the additional steps below.

If the steps above have still have not activated your device, please do the following:

1.        Open up the email you received form Flash Wireless upon activation

2.        Listed will be your lock code number – combine with step 1

3.        On your device enter ##lockcode#

4.        Select Edit

5.        Enter your phone number and Touch "OK"

6.        Clear all the zeros and enter in your MSID

7.        Restart your device, voice, text, 3G, and LTE (if your device supports it) should now be functional.

 Picture Messaging Settings

Once your device is confirmed to be activated and you have voice, text messaging and 3G data (if applicable) working, you’ll need to manually program your picture messaging settings.

A note about basic/multimedia phone: certain feature phones require a 'Camera URL' to be specified. http://www.plspictures.com/WMTP_3_4

Instructions for Smartphons:

1.        Open the dialer

2.        Dial ##3282#

3.        Touch "MMSC URL"

4.        Touch "Edit"

5.        Enter your Lock Code (a 6 digit number emailed to you upon the activation of your handset)

6.        Change the entry to http://mms.plspictures.com

7.        Touch “OK"

8.        Touch “End” Your phone should reboot.  If it does not reboot, manually reboot your phone.

Your MMS settings are now programmed. If you have a 4G WiMax device, you should follow the additional steps below.

4G WiMax Settings

Once your device is confirmed to be activated and you have voice, text messaging and 3G data working, you’ll need to manually program your 4G WiMax settings to be able to access 4G data speeds, if supported by your device.

1.        Open the dialer

2.        Dial # #3282# (# #DATA#)

3.        Touch "View"

4.        Touch "WiMax"

5.        Enter your Lock Code(a 6 digit number emailed to you upon the activation of your handset)

6.         Touch "OK"

7.        Touch "Realm"

8.        Press the hardware menu button (The page button located on handset in the bottom left corner of the device)

9.        Touch "Write Rlm"

10.     Enter "mvno102.sprintpcs.com" and touch "Save" (Note: It will only say "Realm: sprintpcs.com" in this field)

11.     Restart Phone

Once the phone restarts, assuming you are in a 4G capable area, you should be able to use 4G data.

4.        Press the "MENU" key

5.        Select "Reset"

6.        The phone will then powercycle

 

Note, the step above will automatically update your Profile, PRL, and check for updates on your device.  This may take 5-10 minutes to complete

Once your device restarts, 3G/LTE data, voice, and text messaging should be enabled. If your device supports picture messaging, you should follow the additional steps below.

4)       Enter your Lock Code (a six-digit code provided to you in your activation email) and touch "OK" 

5)       Touch "Advanced" 

6)       Touch "MMS Server URL"

7)       Enter "http://mms.plspictures.com" then touch "OK" 

8)       Touch the "MENU" button

9)       Touch "Commit Modifications" 

Your MMS settings are now programmed. If you have a 4G WiMax device, you should follow the additional steps below.

9)       Press the "MENU" key 

10)    Touch "Commit Modifications" 

11)    Phone will reboot on its own

Once the phone restarts, assuming you are in a 4g/WiMax area, you should be able to use 4G data.

Prior to programming picture messaging, you should ensure that voice, text messaging and 3G data are working well. If you have issues with those, Profile and PRL updates are likely required. To do this:

1.        Go to and touch the "Settings" app

2.        Scroll down and touch "Cellular"

3.        Make sure Data Connection is on

4.        Touch "Change Network Profile" for update.

5.        Touch "Close"

6.        Touch "Change PRL" for update

7.        Touch "Close"

Once your Windows Device is confirmed to be activated and you have voice, text messaging and 3G data working, you'll need to manually program picture messaging capability. 

1.        Open the dialer

2.        Dial # #3282# (# #DATA#) from the dialer

3.        Touch "Service Tools"

4.        Touch "Data"

5.        Touch "Edit"

6.        Enter your Lock Code(a six-digit code provided to you in your activation email)

7.        Touch "Advanced"

8.        Scroll to the bottom and touch "MMSC Address"

9.        Erase the URL and enter "http://mms.plspictures.com"

10.     Touch "OK"

11.     Touch "Save"

12.     Reboot phone if it does not do so automatically

MMS should now be enabled and functional.

Flash Wireless (s) – Bring Your Own Device – iPhone Activation

For best results it is recommended that you connect to a home wifi connection to complete activation.

Note, if this device was a previously activated device skip to step 20.

  1. With your device powered off, press and hold the Power key.
  2. Tap and slide the arrow icon to unlock the screen.
  3. Ensure that the correct language is selected and tap the Next arrow.
  4. Ensure that the correct country or region is selected and tap Next.
  5. Tap the preferred activation method:  NOTE for best results please use a home wifi connection.

a.        To activate using a home Wi-Fi connection, tap the preferred Wi-Fi network, enter the network Password, and then tap Join.

b.        To activate using iTunes, tap Connect to iTunes. (iOS 6)

c.        To activate using a cellular connection, tap Use Cellular Connection.  (4S Only)
Note, the option to Use Cellular Connection appears after several minutes.

  1. Your Apple iPhone activates.
  2. Tap the preferred Location Services option and tap Next.
  3. Tap the preferred Setup option and tap Next.
  4. Tap Sign In with an Apple ID.

a.        If you do not have an Apple ID, tap Create a Free Apple ID and follow the prompts, or visit http://appleid.apple.com

  1. Enter your Apple ID credentials and tap Next.
  2. Read the Terms and Conditions and tap Agree.
  3. Read the 2nd Terms and Conditions message and tap Agree.
  4. Tap the preferred iCloud option and tap Next.
  5. If necessary, tap the preferred iCloud backup option and tap Next.
  6. If necessary, tap the preferred Find My Phone option and tap Next.
  7. Tap to enable or disable the preferred Messaging options and tap Next.
  8. Tap the preferred Siri option and tap Next.
  9. Tap the preferred Diagnostics option and tap Next.
  10. Tap Start Using iPhone.
  11. Ensure your device is connected to a home wifi connection is available
  12. From the home screen, tap Phone.
  13. On the keypad, dial ##873283# and tap Call.
  14. Tap OK.
  15. Your device searches for profile updates and installs them.
  16. Tap OK.
  17. After it completes, your device returns to the keypad.
  18. Tap the Home key.
  19. You've now updated the data profile.

5.        Touch "Edit"

6.        Enter your Lock Code (a six-digit code provided to you in your activation email) and touch "Verify".

7.        Change the MMSC URL to http://mms.plspictures.com

Your MMS settings are now programmed if you have a 4G WiMax device, you should follow the additional steps below.

Once your Motorola device is confirmed to be activated and you have voice, text messaging and 3G data working, you’ll need to manually program your 4G WiMax settings to be able to access 4G data speeds.

1.        Open the dialer. 

2.        Dial # #3282# (##DATA#) from the dialer

3.        Touch "Wimax"

4.        Press the Applications button on your handset (The four squares, located at the bottom left of the phone)

5.        Touch “Edit”

6.        Enter your Lock Code  (a six-digit code provided to you in your activation email) and touch “Verify”

7.        Scroll down to "Realm"

8.        Enter “mvno102.sprintpcs.com”

9.        Touch “Done”

10.     Restart Device

Once the phone restarts, you should be able to send and receive picture messages. Assuming you are in a 4G capable data area, your 4G data should also be enabled (ensure it is turned on through your phones settings

Your MMS settings are now programmed. If you have a 4G WiMax device, you should follow the additional steps below.

Locating your MEID

1.       Tap the Settings app

2.       Tap General

3.       Tap About

4.       Scroll down to MEID

 

Activation

4.       Tap Subscriber Services

5.       Tap Reprovision Account


Your iPad should now be active. If not, please complete a Factory Reset

 

Factory Reset (This will erase all content on the device)

1.       Tap the Settings

2.       Tap General

3.       Tap Reset

4.       Tap Erase All Content and Settings

5.       Erase iPad

6.       Erase iPad

7.       Enter your Apple ID password if prompted

The iPad will reboot and you will be prompted to go through the setup process again, which you can do as a new device or restore it from a previous backup in iTunes or iCloud.

Activating your Samsung Tablet

1.       Tap Settings

2.       Verizon Data Service

3.       Turn on “Mobile Data Service”

4.&nbnbsp;      Select - Month to Month Plan

5.       Tablet will confirm you would like to activate. Tap Activate to begin

6.       Device will reset

 

Device reset (This will erase all content on the device)

Only reset your device if it was previously active using a different number.

1.       From the home screen, tap Settings.

2.       Scroll to and tap Activate this device.

3.       Tap the Menu key.

4.       Tap Reset Cellular Data.

5.       Tap Reset.

6.       Your device restarts.

7.       After it restarts, your device is ready to be used.

8.       You've now reset your device.

Your tablet should now be activated

Bring Your Own Device – iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6+, 6s, 6s+ Activation

1.       Press the Power button (located on the top-right edge) to power the iPhone on.

2.       Slide the unlock switch right to unlock the device.

3.       Select the language then select the country or region key.

4.       Select the Wi-Fi network, enter the Wi-Fi password then tap Join.

5.       If Wi-Fi is not available, tap Use Cellular Connection.

6.       Select a location services option:

a.       Enable Location Services

b.       Disable Location Services

7.       Select a Set Up option:

a.       Set Up as New iPhone

b.       Restore from iCloud Backup

c.       Restore from iTunes Backup

8.       Tap Skip This Step.

9.       If prompted, tap Skip, review the Terms and Conditions then tap Agree.

10.       If prompted, tap Agree then select an iCloud option:

a.       Use iCloud

b.       Don't Use iCloud

11.       From the Find My iPhone screen, tap Next.

12.       From the iCloud Drive screen, tap Not Now.

13.       Tap Continue.

14.       When prompted to set up Touch ID, tap the Home button.

15.       Place your thumb or finger on the Home button repeatedly as directed.

16.       If prompted to change your grip, tap Continue.

17.       Place your thumb or finger on the Home button repeatedly as directed then tap Continue.

18.       Enter a 4-digit passcode, reenter passcode, then tap Set Up Later.

19.       From the iCloud Keychain screen, tap Set Up Later.

20.       Tap Next from the Apple Pay screen.

21.       Tap Set Up Later in Passbook.

22.       If prompted, tap Agree then select a Siri option:

a.       Use Siri

b.       Don't Use Siri

23.       Select a Diagnostics & Usage option:

a.       Automatically Send

b.       Don't Send

24.       Select a App Analytics option:

a.       Share with App Developers

b.       Don't Share

25.       Tap the Standard or Zoomed view then tap Next.

26.       Tap Get Started.

27.       If presented with Can Siri help you? tap Dismiss.

28.       Confirm that the status bar at the top of the screen changes from No Service to indicate you now have service. This process may take 2-3 minutes.
